The largest employer in the city is Arlington Independent School District, with the second largest as largest employer being General Motors. Other employers include: ElectroCom Automation, National Semiconductor, Hughes Training and Doskocil. The tax benefits for employers and employees are great in number, which accounts for the booming real estate market and high expansion rates of Arlington companies.
